PURPOSE:To suppress overflow of communication buffer and to eliminate the loss of received data and improve the response of a communication by providing a compressing mechanism which compresses the received data to efficiently use the communication buffer. CONSTITUTION:A transceiver 101 receives communication data and transfers the data to a communication LSI 102. The communication LSI 102 transfers the received data to the compressing mechanism 103 so as to compress the received data. After the compressing mechanism 103 compresses the received data, a switching mechanism 104A once receiving the compressed data checks free areas of communication buffers 105A and 106A to judge in which area the data should be stored, and stores the compressed data. When a CPU 110 tries to process the received data, a switching mechanism 104A decides which data should be processed and transfers the data to a thawing mechanism 107. The thawing mechanism 107 thaws the compressed data and actuates a data transfer circuit 108 to transfer the data to an arithmetic processing circuit 109. |
