PURPOSE:To prolong the replacement cycle of a waste toner recovery container. CONSTITUTION:Residual toner on a photoreceptor drum 11 is scraped off into a cleaner part 17 by means of a cleaning blade 16. The waste toner recovery container 12 is arranged in parallel to the cleaner part 17, and the cleaner part 17 and the container 12 are connected with means of a U-shaped waste toner carrying pipe 15. A waste toner carrying screw 13 in the cleaner part 17 and a waste toner carrying spring 14 in the pipe 15 are connected to each other. By the rotation of the screw 13 and the spring 14, the waste toner is carried from the cleaner part 17 to the waste toner recovery container 12. The recovered waste toner is sent into the innermost side of the waste toner recovery container 12 by rotating the container 12.
