PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for processing a message with a group sequence in which the grouping of the messages can be operated by an application at a transmission side. CONSTITUTION: In a reception routine 38, a necessary message number RNM value included in a message is compared with a stored processed message number NMP value by blocks 40, 42, 44, and 46, and the messages are received until the grouped messages are ended. Next, the finally received message is marked as processed by a block 48, the NMP is incremented by a block 50, and the messages in the same group in a queue are marked as processed by a clock 52. Afterwards, whether or not a new message is present is judged (54), and when it is present, this process is returned to the block 42, and otherwise, this process is ended.
