ELECTRON SOURCE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide an electron source composed of a plurality of surface conductive electron emitting elements arranged in a matrix and prevent the decrease of brightness of a center part of an image forming apparatus having the electron source. CONSTITUTION:Surface conductive electron emitting elements 404 are arranged in a matrix while the crossing points of mutually crossing upper wiring 505 and lower wiring 506 being used electrodes. An electricity feed wiring 909 is also laid under the lower wiring 505 while an insulating layer 910 being put between them and the electricity feed wiring 909 and the lower wiring 506 are connected mutually near their center parts. Consequently, since electricity is supplied to the lower wiring 506 from near the center part, the voltage decrease near the center can be prevented and thus the decrease of emitted charge and the decrease of brightness following the voltage drop can be prevented.
