PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the braking feeling of a motor car which is caused by the fact that its regenerative braking force is decreased as its speed is increased, when making the motor car exhibit its regenerative braking force corresponding to an engine brake. CONSTITUTION:Inside the region of the high speed-change stage relative to a shift map for controlling the speed change of the transmission of a motor car while using its accelerator opening and its speed as parameters, the region of an intermediate speed-change stage is provided. This region of an intermediate speed-change stage is set in the driving region specified by the low accelerator opening and intermediate speed of the motor car. When the motor car descends a downhill while generating a regenerative braking force at a low accelerator opening, the shift-down from the third gear stage to the second gear stage is performed as its speed is increased. Thereby, its regenerative braking force is increased, and both its braking feeling and its energy recovering efficiency are improved. |
