PURPOSE:To prevent black colored developer scattered and dropped from a developing unit for black color from entering a rotary developing device or soiling the surface of a transfer body in a multicolor image forming device in which the fixed developing unit for black color and rotary developing units, etc., are arranged around an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:Around the image carrier 1 supported freely rotatably, the fixed developing unit for black color 42, the rotary developing device 41 having the developing units for at least two colors, an intermediate transfer body 5 for transferring successively toner images on the image carrier, and a transfer device 6 for transferring plural toner image on the intermediate transfer body to a recording medium all together are provided to form the multicolor image forming device. In this multicolor image forming device, the developing unit for black color 42 is arranged on the downstream side in the direction of the rotation of the image carrier with respect to the rotary developing device 41 and under the rotary developing device 41, therefore the black color does not mix in the rotary developing device 41. |
