PURPOSE:To make sure electromagnetic shielding of each part possible with the minimum number of parts by providing a shell for covering a contact housing with a cable shielding means, and a means for providing connection to the ground pattern of a board. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a metal shell 60 surrounding the contact housing of a board connector 40, its surface on a cable connector 32 side is rendere a contact land 62 electrically connectable to the shielding means of a shield cable 30. A wavy conductive strip 68 is fixed on the surface, on a board 20 side, of the shell 60 such as PCB and the like along both sides of a recessed part having a number of holes through which contacts 22 are passed. Thus, when each hook 54 of the housing is engaged with each supporting metal fitting 26 of the board 20, each strip 68 is brought into contact with the ground pattern 24 of the board 20 with a proper level of a contact pressure. Electromagnetic waves captured by the cable 30 and the shell 60 can be surely transmitted to the pattern 24. |
