<p>PURPOSE:To provide a picture reader capable of quickly displaying plural reduced pictures on one screen and changing the contents of the screen. CONSTITUTION:The number of horizontal divisions DH on one display screen is cumulatively added by a cumulative adder 16 to generate a sample address AS and the number of vertical divisions DV is cumulatively added by a cumulative adder 17 to generate a line address AL. An output selector 24 selects one picture from plural pictures in accordance with a scanning position on the display screen based upon the number of divisions and outputs its picture address AF. The picture element data of the selected picture are sampled and read out in accordance with the sample address AS and the line address AL and plural reduced pictures are displayed on the position determined by the number of divisions on the display screen.</p> |
