PURPOSE:To provide an all optical signal processing for extracting and inserting a required optical signal from different signal beams with carriers of many different frequency beams. CONSTITUTION:This selector is provided with three pairs of array waveguide lattices provided with a first sector slab waveguide 14, etc., connecting an inputting channel waveguide 11, etc., with a channel waveguide array 12, etc., and an outputting channel waveguide 13, etc., and connecting the inputting channel waveguide 11, etc., with the channel wavequide array 12, etc., and a second sector slab waveguide 15, etc., connecting the channel waveguide 12, etc., with the outputting channel waveguide 14, etc., and plural 2X2 optical switches 41. They are connected so that the outputting channel waveguide 13 of a first pair of array waveguide lattice becomes one side input port of the optical switches 41, and respective inputting channel waveguides 21, 31 of second and third array waveguide lattices become respective output ports of the optical switches 41, and other input ports of the optical switches 41 are connected to the inputting waveguides of beams from the outside. |
