PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of correcting a clock by a user and to eliminate the need of a backup battery exclusive for the clock by performing the correction, storage, display, etc., of a date and the time based on clock information transmitted from a base station. CONSTITUTION:When a base band DSP 8 generates interruption, a CPU 15 detects a message corresponding to a program stored in an SRAM 10 and compares an SID (SIDr) received from the base station with the SID (SIDp) stored in the SRAM 10 when the message indicates time information. Then, it is the time for this portable telephone set 1 to receive the service of a subscriber registered system (home system) in the case of SIDr=SIDp, whether or not an automatic correction function is set is investigated, the automatic correction of the clock is not performed when the automatic correction function is cancelled, however, when the automatic correction function is set, the CPU 15 updates the time and date information of a real time clock 14 by the time information of the message. |
