Process of preparing lenses

A process of preparing a lens 1 uses a de-blocking step to remove the lens 1 from a wax mount 7. In the de-blocking step the wax 7 is only partially dissolved so that the lens remains associated with the wax but can be easily removed therefrom. For the de-blocking step, the wax is treated with a terpene under conditions of agitation.
