PURPOSE:To accurately discriminate the size or a vehicle by obtaining the volume of the vehicle in accordance with vehicle projection areas in plural various directions and discriminating the size of the vehicle based on this volume. CONSTITUTION:The parking lot device 11 is provided with a car gate device 12, a parking ticket issue machine 13, an upper camera 14, and a side camera 15 at the entrance of a parking lot. The size of the whole of the upper face of a vehicle 18 is picked up as the size on a plane by the upper camera 14, and a plane projection area 18 projected at this time is converted to actual dimensions to obtain the size of the vehicle on the plane. Sizes of the front and the whole of the side of the vhicle 18 are picked up obliquely from the front by the side camera 15, and the front projection area and the side projection area projected at this time are converted to actual dimensions to obtain sizes of the front and the side of the vehicle. The three-dimensional volume of the vehicle is calculated based on plane, front, and side projection areas of the vehicle 18 obtained in this manner, and the size of the vehicle is discriminated by this calculated volume of the vehicle. |
