<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a rotary cylinder generated by a centrifugal force and to reduce the deviation in the height of a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted of the head base 2 fixing the magnetic head 1, the rotary cylinder 3 mounting the head base 2, a rotary shaft 4, and a rotary disk 5 connecting the rotary cylinder 3 and the rotary shaft 4. A groove (m) is arranged in a circular state on the upper surface of the rotary cylinder 3 at the position distant approximately r1 from the center of the rotary cylinder 3 if the minimum distance from the center to the head base 2 is expressed as r1. The depth of the groove (m) is constant and made slightly larger than (h) if the thickness of the head base 2 is expressed as (h). At the time of rotation, the bending moment due to the protruding part produced by the groove (m) which is formed on the upper surface of the rotary cylinder 3, acts so as to negate the bending moment due to the head base 3. The rotary cylinder 3 is not deformed accordingly, and the change in the height of the magnetic head 1 is eliminated.</p> |
