PURPOSE:To prepare an index adopting a voiceless sound character preferential to contracted sound/double consonant characters by executing unified conversion from an inputted item name into KATAKANA (squared form of Japanese syllabary) characters or HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) characters, executing the erasure of a sonant mark/p- sound mark and conversion into a contracted sound/double consonant characters, and then rearranging the converted characters in the order of the Japanese syllabary. CONSTITUTION:A KATAKANA/HIRAGANA unified conversion processing part 11 unifiedly converts an index item name inputted at random into either one of HIRAGANA or KATAKANA, a sonant mark erasing processing part 12 erases sonant marks and p-sound marks from the converted item name and a voiceless sound conversion processing part 13 converts a contracted sound and a double consonant into voiceless sounds. Then a Japanese syllabary array processing part 14 rearranges the converted item name in the order of the Japanese syllabary and records the rearranged result in a recording part 15. A KATAKANA/ HIRAGANA restoring conversion processing part 17 successively reads out the recorded item name and successively restores the read item name into KATAKANA or HIRAGANA characters, a sonant mark restoring processing part 18 restores and applies sonant marks and p-sound marks and a contracted sound/double consonant restoring processing part 19 restores contracted sound and double consonant characters and records the restored characters in a processed index item recording part 20. |
