<p>PURPOSE:To produce a tuning designation signal required for accurate tuning operation. CONSTITUTION:An inductive window (iris) 3 is mounted on a waveguide at the antenna output section of a circulator 2 and a tuning designation signal is produced by combining a leakage component A from the isolation port of the circulator 2, a reflection component B from an antenna 5, and a reflection component C from the iris 3, wherein the amplitude waveform and the spectrum thereof depend on the reflection component C from the iris 3. The signal waveform and spectrum of the reflection component C from the iris 3 are identical to those of a magnetron 1. On the other hand, the signal waveform and spectrum of a reflected wave from a target received by the antenna 5 are similar to those of the magnetron 1. Consequently, when the oscillation frequency of a local oscillator 8 is regulated to maximize the tuning designation signal, a video signal output having maximum amplitude can be obtained.</p> |
