The post is a metal rod (1) which forms the support and a panel (4) attached to the rod which forms the road sign. The panel (4) is made of a rigid plastics. On the back of the sign (5) there is an attachment (6) which has cut out sections (10, 10) so that a rod (1) can be inserted through them. The attachment (6) is a flexible, plastics bracket. The central section is soldered to the rear (5) of the sign (4). The central part of the bracket (8) may have moulded pins (12) which pass through it as well as a rigid plastics support (13) which are soldered together. The rod (1) is shaped like a corner iron and the cut out sections (10, 10) take the same form.
