The traditional roof frames are constructed using a combination of rigid trusses (1), fish plates (6) and side frames (8,9) which are pre-cut and factory fitted. These are assembled on site on the support beams by means of four universal metal connectors which adapt to all configurations. The nailed-down plate (10), folded to an angle of 135 degrees, and having multiple holes, fixes the side frames onto the fish plates. A square fish plate fixes onto a carrying beam (7). A shoe plate (12) allows fixing of two fishplates and a central edge frame (9) in the same point in the case of small spans without using a carrying beam. A reflex angle plate (13) supports the external end of the fish plates when these cannot rest on the building wall (21).
