PURPOSE:To provide a power equipment, in which higher harmonic components can be reduced, regardless of an ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage of a capacitor C16 for charging is made higher than output voltage from a full-wave rectification circuit 11, an inverter circuit 14 is supplied with power from a first capacitor C11, and a fluoresent lamp FL is lit. When output voltage from the full-wave rectification circuit 1 is made lower than the voltage of the capacitor 16 for charging, currents amplified by an inductor L11 and a second capacitor C12 are supplied from the capacitor C16 for charging, and higher harmonics are reduced. When the temperature of the equipment is increased, the resistance value of a positive temperature coefficient thermistor R11 is elevated, the voltage value of a resistor R12 is lowered, the voltage value of a capacitor C14 is reduced, and the gate voltage of a field-effect transistor Q11 is diminished. The on-resistance of the field-effect transistor Q11 is augmented, and the apparent capacitance of a capacitor C13 is lowered, thus reducing the combined capacitance of the second capacitor C12 and the capacitor C13. |
