PURPOSE:To cope with a wide demand for a differential limit force at a low cost by a method wherein a pair of helical pinion gears and a pair of helical side gears on the wheel side are provided and firs and second gear parts are separately formed and intercoupled through a coupling part. CONSTITUTION:A pair of helical pinion gears 51 and 53 engaged with each other through first gear parts 55 and 57 and a pair of helical side gears 31 and 33 differently engaged with second gear parts 57 and 63 for interlocking are contained in the containing holes 47 and 49 of a differential case 21. First and second gear parts 55 and 57 and coupling parts 69 and 71 common to the two ends of gear parts 61 and 63 are provided. Coupling through the coupling parts 69 and 71 is effected and axial unmoved fixing is effected by respective fixing members 75. This constitution facilitates the change of gear arrangement by using a common gear and widely copes with a different types of vehicles through the wide change of differential limit characteristics.
