A structured sealing material, assembled on the construction site, has at least two bitumen layers. One bitumen layer contains a glass reinforcement material and a lightweight non-woven polyester material, integrated into it during prodn. The compound material has a resistance to static and dynamic impact to meet the class I2 conditions. Also claimed is a prodn. process where a glass material (5) as a reinforcement is impregnated with bitumen at a station (1). A non-woven (6) is applied (2) together with further bitumen impregnation. The composite material is passed through a calender stage (3).
