The device is constructed to present a series of blades to the revolutionary surface of the body or cable to be scraped. The scraping elements are arranged as a rectangular blade (11), with the non-cutting edge fixed into the interior of a block (12) of elastic material. The blade and block are introduced into the scraping device by sliding them along into a series of housings, provided in the body of the device. The housing locations are open on at least one side to allow the blade section to fit with the cutting edge projecting towards the centre of revolution.
