<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic carrier and an electrifying member with which electrification stability, prevention of deterioration of the carrier and environmental stability are improved and excellent picture quality without uneven density of images or contamination in the back ground can be obtd. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic carrier and the electrifying member consist of a core material coated with a resin containing an aromatic polycarbonate resin expressed by formula. In formula, X, X' are hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms or methyl groups, and R is a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, hydroxyl group, carboxyl group, acetyl group or alkyl group of 1 to 4c.
