PURPOSE:To reduce the load of the CPU of each station when a scramble processing and a descramble processing are performed for burst signals to be transmitted between a base station and mobile stations. CONSTITUTION:At the time of transmitting burst signals, whether this burst is the burst via a slot for control or the burst via a slot for communication is discriminated. The corresponded pattern of first and second pattern data is taken out from a selection circuit 302 and a scramble is applied to a transmission burst. At the time of receiving the burst, either one of the patterns is taken out based on the number of bit of the unique word UW and the classification signal CI contained in the reception burst and the scramble of the reception burst signal is released. As a result, the CPU 37 of each station has no necessity of performing the switching of the selection of pattern data, etc., for every transmission and reception of the burst. Therefore, the load of the CPU 37 can be remarkably reduced.
