PURPOSE:To switch the device to the normal operation in a short time at the time of turning-on a power source in a simple constitution without providing a driving system with the high-speed transfer function or the like by providing the electric charge discharging part which discharges the electric charge stored in each light reception part of a sensor part and forcibly sweeping away unnecessary initial electric charge to this electric charge discharging part at the time of turning on the device power source. CONSTITUTION:An electric charge discharging drain 12 is formed as the electric charge discharging part on one side of an electric charge discharging gate 11 the other side of which an electric charge transfer register 4 of a sensor array 2 is formed on. The electric charge discharging gate 11 is normally in the shallow potential state and functions as the potential barrier to each light reception part 1 of the sensor array 2. A control voltage V1 is applied to the electric charge discharging gate 11 from a time constant circuit 14 as a control means only for a certain time when a DC power source (device power source) 13 is turned on. Thus, initial electric charge stored in each light reception part 1 of the sensor array 2 is swept away to the electric charge discharging drain 12 through the electric charge discharging gate 11.
