PURPOSE:To provide the housing structure of an outdoor unit for an air conditioner which can prevent invasion of rain water from the connecting part of the upper surface of an outer drum made of synthetic resin by longitudinally dividing it into the interior and smoothly discharge the water to the exterior. CONSTITUTION:A connecting part 8 for connecting the front and back surface sides of the upper surface of an outer drum for protecting a compressor, a heat exchanger, etc., at upper and lower uneven parts or central uneven parts is formed, the back surface side of the part 8 is formed substantially in a U shape. An opening is provided on the back surface. A through hole 8a is provided at the back surface side of the part 8. The end of the front surface side of the upper surface of the drum is engaged with the hole 8a. Thus, rain water invaded from the part 8 flows down to a substantially U-shaped bottom 12 to prevent it from being invaded into the drum and to smoothly discharge it from the opening 10 to the interior. |
