摘要 Integral reusable locking arrangement (10) is provided between the guide tube assembly (12) and upper end fitting (14) in a reconstitutable fuel assembly. Upper end fitting (14) has bores (20) through it to receive the guide tube assembly (12). Guide tube assembly (12) includes an upper end sleeve (28) having a radially extending first shoulder at the lower end for engaging with the lower surface of the upper end fitting (14). Locking arrangement (10) comprises the upper end sleeve (28) having at least two rigid tabs (30) that extend radially outward. Upper end fitting (14) has vertical slots (18) that extend downwardly along a portion of the wall of each bore (26) from the upper end thereof, so as to define a second shoulder (24) at the lower end of each slot (18). Cylindrical tube forms retainer sleeve (16). Retainer sleeve (16) is concentric with the upper end sleeve (28). Retainer sleeve (16) has at least two slots (32) that are sized to receive the tabs (30) on the upper end sleeve (28). Retainer sleeve (16) has flexible tabs (20) extending outwardly and circumferentially spaced apart at the midsection of sleeve (16). Mid-section tabs (20) are received in the vertical slots (18) in the upper end fitting (14) for engagement with the second shoulders (24). The lower end surface of retainer sleeve (16) is engaged with the first shoulder at the lower end of upper end sleeve (28).
