<p>PURPOSE:To compose a polarized electron beam generating apparatus by which stable quantum efficiency can be obtained from a polarized electron beam generating element for a long duration. CONSTITUTION:In a polarized electron beam generating apparatus, the quantity of polarized electron beam to be emitted is measured by a monitor 90 and the incidence angle theta of excited laser beam 20 against a polarized electron beam generating element 10 is so controlled automatically by a controlling apparatus 70 as to make the measured quantity of the polarized electron beam generating element 10 become the same as an aiming value. Consequently, even in the case the surface condition of the polarized electron beam generating element 10 is deteriorated during emission of polarized electron beam, almost the same quantity of polarized electron beam can be obtained and thus stable quantum efficiency can be kept for a long duration.</p> |
