PURPOSE:To speed up a painting-out drawing process by decreasing the among of pattern data to be transferred even when the painting-out process is performed with a pattern larger in cycle than a pattern that can be stored in the painting-out drawing device. CONSTITUTION:In the painting-out drawing means 12 which paints out a rectangle with a cyclic pattern, painting-out pattern cycles 132X and 132Y are set in addition to the position and size of the rectangular area 131 to be painted out, and painting-out pattern data are set in a painting-out pattern data storage area 121, and when drawing is started, the painting-out drawing means 12 writes the data stored in the pattern storage area 121 in areas 134 positioned longitudinally and laterally at intervals 132X and 132Y of pattern cycles. A painting-out start position is scanned within a pattern 132 of one cycle and the process is repeated to paint out the entire object rectangular area 131.
