PURPOSE:To efficiently reduce the size of image data by constituting one file by using the data in a block decided to store image data, and position information indicating the storage positions of respective blocks in a 1st storage means. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 12 controls the respective parts of the image processor 11 unitedly and a program which prescribed its operation procedure is stored in a ROM 13. A RAM 14 is a memory used when the CPU 12 is in operation. An input device 15 consists of a keyboard, a CRT display, and its peripheral equipment, a storage device 16 stores image data as a file, and an interface 17 performs timing control over data transfer with an external device. Since the processor 11 handles image data of one page as a collection of image data of plural block units, the capacity required when image data including blocks wherein the contents of an image are not specified are stored, can be reduced. |
