The satellite positioning data receiver is fitted in the mounting (6) for the interior rear view mirror (4), which is positioned near the top of the windscreen (1). The receiver (9) is mounted horizontally, or with a forward slope, in the mirror mounting, where it is well clear of the metal of the roof, allowing it to receive satellite positioning data signals through the windscreen. The electrical cabling (10,11) connecting the receiver to the computer that makes use of the data passes under the roof lining (12) of the vehicle. The part of the cabling between the mirror mounting and the roof lining is covered by a plate (13). |
