The arrangement consists of a saddle (2) with extensions (29) and brake pad mounting plates which have extensions which overlap those on the saddle. Saddle and brake pad mounting plates are interconnected by pins (13) on which the brake pad places can slide. The pin is secured in position by a spring clip (23) one leg (23a) of which passes through the pin, and the other leg clips round it. The extension (29) on the saddle also extends sideways (29a) to cover the clip (13). This sideways extension also limits the angular movement of the spring clip (13) to an angle (theta).
