Miniature solenoid valve

The miniature valve has an operating stroke of less than 1mm. The valve seat (12) and its support plug are threaded (11, 13) into the bottom of the valve with one fluid connection (14) through the centre of the plug. The valve seat is pressed against the underside of the pole piece (16) which is supported by a diaphragm spring (17). The solenoid coil (27) and is support block (26) are threaded (36, 37) into the top of the housing. The valve action is fine tuned by adjusting the positions of the valve seat and the solenoid coil. The other fluid connection (10) is through the side of the valve housing. The valve has a potted construction with two interlocking shells (4, 5) secured by adhesive potting.
