Method for cleaning pipelines

The method involves drinking water pipelines (1) which are cleaned in sections, with air and dry ice particles supplied via a stand pipe connecting union (11,21,31), or other fittings, such as a house connecting union. Pref. a downstream stand pipe connecting union (21), which the drinking water connecting union is closed by a slider, is monitored for debris resulting from rinsing. Air is typically supplied by a compressor (45). The dry ice particles are supplied via a chute (42) into a feeder (40) fitted with an air link (43) to the compressor such that the dry ice particles are entrained in the supplied air.
