Apparatus (100) for receiving and transmitting via the airwaves the audio component of a TV channel having a housing. Located in the housing there is provided a circuit located for receiving (102) a plurality of TV channels from airwaves, each of the TV channels including a video component and an audio component, the receiving circuit (102) including a circuit for selecting the audio component exclusive of the video component from each one of the plurality of TV channels. Also in the housing and coupled to the receiving circuit (102) there is provided a radio frequency transmitting circuit (101) for transmitting a radio frequency carrier comprising the selected audio component via the airwaves.
