Electromobile electric current drive arrangement

The drive for an electric car has the necessary current generated by pairs of one or more generators (dynamos or alternators) driven by pinions off contrate gears whose axles are parallel to the rear car axle and are themselves driven by belts. There is one set for each rear half-shaft. The driving wheel for each belt is mounted with a bearing on the relevant half-shaft and is driven by another belt from the battery-powered starter motor. There are controllable pegs which lock this driving wheel to the adjacent road wheel of the car. The locking-in occurs electronically when a certain road speed has been attained, and the car's movement undertakes further rotation of the generator rotors.
