Vehicle anti-blocking brake control

The separate brake circuits in the dual brake system are each fitted with a combined valve block (14, 34) with each block having an input valve (14a, 34a) and two parallel output valves (14b, 14c, 34b, 34c). A single motor (22) drives separate pumps (21, 41) for each system to draw fluid from the blocking brake and charge a spring loaded storage chamber (20, 40) from where the same pumps return the fluid to the vented circuit after wheel blocking has ceased. The output valves (14c, 14b, 34c, 34b) isolate the non blocking brakes during ABS control. A limited flow restriction (24, 27, 43, 46) provides a controlled flow to the brakes from the pumped circuits with this flow less than the vented flow for the blocked circuits. The electric motor is activated as soon as the ABS control is activated.
