TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS ARRANGEMENT

The present invention relates to an arrangement for interconnecting a first communication system and a second communication system wherein the second communication system is a cordless access system. The first communication system is a cellular mobile communication system and the interconnecting arrangement comprises an interworking function (IWF) which via an existing interface of the first communication system is connected to a Mobile Switching Centre of the first communication system and which via an interface of the second communication system is connected to an access system of the second communication system. The invention also relates to an interconnected system comprising a first and a second communication system wherein the first communication system is a cellular mobile communication system and the second system a cordless access communication system wherein the systems are interconnected via an interworking function (IWF).
