In the proposed hydraulic power cylinder (1), a ring (10) is mounted in the cutting plane of each of the duct connections (e.g. 6); the ring has a channel (13) which corresponds to the duct connection. This channel (13) communicates at the highest point in the power cylinder (1) with the pressure chamber (e.g. 4) via an inlet aperture (14). The advantage of this arrangement is that the enclosed air is drawn along by the flow when the piston (3) moves. The air reaches the outside via the tank.
