Fixed caliper, part-lined vehicle disc brake

The disc brake consists of a caliper (1) fixed to the car, gripping around the outer annular section of a brake disc and contains brake jaws on either side of the brake disc. The jaws are slidingly guided towards the brake disc of strong material stops (7), anchored in the caliper and extending orthogonally to the brake disc plane. Between the stop and caliper is provided a layer of elastic material formed by a socket (17) or a pad of temp.-resistant plastics. The disc has a friction lining on a metal carrier.
