PURPOSE: To improve the normal operation behavior of a power steering system with only a slight expense by maintaining low and high output levels, when an electric motor is operated against small and large loads, respectively, in a control device. CONSTITUTION: A pump 2, where a suction side which is driven by an electric motor 3 is connected to a well 1, connects a servo valve 4 to a discharge side. The servo valve 4 is connected to a servo motor 5 which is formed as a double- acting type piston cylinder device and at the same time, is connected to the well 1 via another connection port. In this connected state, an automatic connection device 7 reacting with the load status of the electric motor 3 is provided, and the electric motor 3 is maintained at an extremely low output level, while operating against a small load and is maintained at a high output level while operating against a large load, thus improving the normal operating behavior of a power steering system with only a slight expense. |
