9-Methyl-3-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-4H-pyrido-[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one represented by formula (I) or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof, having an excellent activity of inhibiting the growth of vascular smooth muscles, being efficacious against restenosis after PTCA treatment, and capable of treating or preventing diseases wherein the growth of vascular smooth muscles participate, such as arteriosclerosis.
