The pressure regulator comprises a casing (1) containing a fluid connection between a fluid entry (2) and a fluid exit (3), which is connected to the spray head. Fluid flow is stopped by the movement of a spherical closing element (5) operated by a control device (21) via a plunger (25). The closing element moves against a conical valve face (4) within the regulator casing. A spring chamber (6) contains a spring (7), pretensioned in the element closing direction, connected to the closing element, and controlled by a primary positioning component (8). The maximum opening travel of the closing element is set by a limit stop (17) adjusted by means of a second positioning component (13), which is also connected to the primary positioning component.
