Shower head base outlets

The base part (4) of the shower head (1) has a ring shaped projection (6) which reaches out beyond the underside (5) of the shower head and has the water outlets (3) distributed over the projection's length. The projection includes a ring segment and pref. comes in closed ring form in which the water outlets issue at the topmost point of the projection. The outlets can also be arranged round the circumference of the projection at 6 deg. intervals. The base can also be formed from a ring and the projection adjoins the base in an area where the ring shape (4) is U shaped in section. A narrow part of the water outlet (3) is followed by the issuing end of the outlet which is itself bevelled to suit the direction of the water, the outlets designed so that adjoining outlets emit water in different directions. Assuming water directions to cover a range of 0 to 16 deg. to vertical, adjoining outlets produce a periodically repeating water spray pattern of notably 8, 5, 8, 5 and 2 deg.
