Labelling station for bottles

The labelling station comprises a rotating support (1) with removal elements (2-7), an adhesive application roller (11), a label box (12) and a label transfer cylinder (14). A cleaning roller (16) is arranged between the label transfer cylinder and the adhesive application roller. Defective labels which have not been taken up by the label transfer roller and adhere to the pick-up surfaces (8) of the removal elements. The cleaning roller has a scraper (16a) on its surface which then removes the labels and excess adhesive from the pick-up surfaces.
