The separating device has a washing and separating container (2) adjoined in the lower area by a motor-driven upwardly inclined screw conveyor path (6) leading to a discharge station (4). In this low area of the container there is also an inlet opening (10) for introducing a washing fluid (32). The drainage device (12) for discharging the washed-out slightly soluble substances, volatile substances and difficult soluble substances is vertically spaced from the low area and extends vertically inside the container. The openings provided around the circumference of the drainage device are arranged on different horizontal planes.
