This invention relates to the gene coding the modified bonemorphogenetic-protein (BMP) receptor, to the modified BMP receptor expressed by said gene, and to application of said modified BMP receptor. Since said modified BMP receptor of the present invention specifically binds BMP, said receptor may be useful for purification of BMP, as a reagent for diagnosing various diseases associated with BMP, as a reagent for research, and as a medicine, etc.
