A multi-functional remote control includes at least one housing (10,12). It is designed to carry out a number of different functions with easy programming from any location by the user using an easily comprehensible procedure. It includes an indication surface (14) which swivels and upends relative to a mounting section (10) of the housing. The mounting or supporting section of the housing has a frame (10) which surrounds the indication section (12) externally and has a central opening. The indication surface is a matrix flat image screen (14) with a pen (20) as input device, alternatively it is controlled by finger movement of the user.
