The reduction gear system of this drive unit is contained within a hollow gear case (1) which is fitted with a closing plate (2). It contains a toothed wheel (3), which is driven around an axis (4) by the output shaft of the drive motor. The wheel carries an eccentric peg (6), which is parallel to the axis. The peg drives a crank arm linkage (8), which generates an alternating rotation movement in the output shaft (9), by means of the toothed sectors (14,15). The output shaft has its rotation movement restricted by the braking device (30), which consists of a brake block (23), which is fixed to the shaft and which generates friction, by rubbing on a section (22) of the closing plate.
