The chain contains the links (1), which have two sidewalls (2, 3) and a stabilizing component (10), connecting these walls (2, 3) at their lower longitudinal edges, and a cover (15) which can be swapped on the upper longitudinal edges, at which the successive link (1) of chain are articulated connected and the covers (15) on upper longitudinal edges of sidewalls (2, 3) can be releasably fixed. The covers (15) are connected by flexible flat connecting lamells (17) which are movable arranged in corresponding sliding chambers (18) of covers (15). The sliding chamber (18) is cut with openings (22, 23, 24).
