A trap for catching fish comprising one or more funnel- or cone-shaped entrances (1, 2) with a flexible openwork net sleeve (3, 4) attached to the end of the funnel shaped part. The trap pref. also includes a bait holder (7) in the form of an open mesh receptacle in the centre of the trap in front of the sleeve (3, 4).
